Accounting Clerk
Sacramento, CA Temporary $22.00 - $26.00/hr Onsite

Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and general administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments
  • Assist with accounts receivable, billing, and collections activities
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial and accounting records
  • Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, and vendor accounts
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support month-end close procedures and reporting
  • Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
  • Assist with data entry, expense reports, and other accounting projects as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite
  • Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment
